Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about your golf cart and battery maintenance.
On your new cart or lithium battery upgrade, it’s important to condition the battery. We call this the “break-in” period. To complete this process, it is recommended to plug the cart in when the battery SOC (state-of-charge) reaches approximately 50%. Do this for about the first 10 charges. After the “break-in” period, you can charge your cart after each use. *Best practice: To maintain the longevity of your lithium battery, keep your SOC at 30% or better on a regular basis.
No! Lithium batteries are very low maintenance. Simply follow this guide: When stored/unused for 1 month or longer, bring the SOC to approximately 85% and leave the cart unplugged. - When you’re ready to use your cart again, plug it back in and allow it to charge fully.
It is best not to leave the key fob in your cart for significant periods of time. Fobs can disconnect from the one start push button if they spend too much time connected when not in use. We recommend storing your key at a distance far enough away that it is not able to connect to the push button.
